100th Post!

WOOT WOOT! HOOT HOOT!!! 100 posts! 

The journey to beginning this blog was years in the making which is why it seems like 100 posts is actually not enough. There were so many false starts and trashed ideas. I let me fear get in the way of even beginning a blog. I was so afraid of the haters. I assumed that the DID naysayers would come out in force. I wasn’t sure if I could handle hearing things I have seen and heard on other posts in other places. People can be so cruel.

People can also be incredible. The support I have received over the last 6 months has been amazing. The compassion, care, and respectful responses that I get from my readers on a regular basis have  made me feel very grateful, validated and you have all helped me continue to heal.

Due to the outstanding response and ever-increasing number of readers, I have made a huge decision to begin offering motivational/educational mental health talks to schools, community groups, and hopefully even some professionals. My psychiatrist was the one that planted this idea in my head long ago but now I can actually see myself doing it. I am no longer afraid to speak out.

I have also realized that you don’t have to be all better/healed  before you have the right to speak up. The journey is just as important, if not more important than the end goal. I feel this way largely because of how wonderful you have all been with me. Thank you.  Thank you. Thank you!
